JARDIN MOSSÈN COSTA Y LLOBERA

Located at the top of the most charismatic mountain in Barcelona, Montjuïc Castle is a setting of countless crucial moments in the history of the city, some of them being quite obscure. Formerly it was the headquarters of the Military Museum, an institution that left in 2009, moving its collection to Figueres.

Initially conceived to be a garden city for Barcelona’s wealthy families, its artistical, historical uniqueness and architectural was recognized in 1969 as a Monument of Cultural Interest; and in1984, UNESCO declared it World Heritage site. 

In the quiet and secluded neighbourhood of Horta, there is an architectural relic from the 18th century, the oldest preserved gardens in Barcelona.
