On the 7th floor of the hotel, the Art Floor comes to life—a space filled with expression, where each suite is reimagined by a different artist. In Suite 701 you’ll find Mariona Espinat, in 702 Catherine Parra, in 703 Vasty, in 704 Alex Voinea, in 705 Jimmy Millán, and in 706 Gastón Lisak. Six artists, six stories, six unique ways of interpreting the same space.
More than an exhibition, each room offers an immersive experience designed by its artist, inviting you to discover Barcelona through new eyes. Stay tuned to uncover each month the experience behind every artist.
Where Art becomes Taste
Discover a unique encounter between art and gastronomy at Almanac Barcelona through the work of contemporary artist Jimmy Millán and chef Gio Esteve at Virens. Together, they transform seven defining moments of the artist’s life into a multisensory experience where ceramic art and cuisine tell the same story.
For this collaboration, Millán has created a limited-edition ceramic tableware collection of seven pieces, each representing a milestone in his personal and creative journey. Crafted by the historic AlfarerÃa Alfonso Góngora (est. 1846) and later hand-intervened by the artist, every piece bears his signature textures, cracks, and expressive gestures.
These artworks become the stage for an exclusive seven-course tasting menu, where chef Gio Esteve interprets each life chapter through flavor, technique, and seasonal ingredients. The result is an intimate monthly showcooking experience for only ten guests, where every dish is served on the ceramic piece that inspired it.
Beyond the table, Jimmy Millán’s work also inhabits the hotel through Almanac Goes Art, transforming the Penthouse into an immersive art space where guests can live with the artworks and acquire selected pieces upon request.

Stay in the Gastón Lisak Room 706, Almanac Suite — a space where art and symbolism exist in harmonious dialogue, inspired by the artist’s unique vision and his deep connection to Barcelona. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to awaken emotion and open an intimate conversation between past, present, and future.
On the walls of your room, discover original artworks by Gastón Lisak, inspired by Barcelona and the spirit of the traveler. Pieces that accompany your stay and, should you wish, can become part of your own story.
Experience the moment of creating your own time capsule. Meet the artist and accompany him to Mercat dels Encants, the oldest market in Europe, where you will explore together in search of meaningful symbols and unique objects to shape your capsule. A journey through stories and discoveries that connect memory and meaning.
Later, in Gastón Lisak’s studio, you will transform these elements into an encapsulated artwork — moments, memories, and the essence of what you wish to preserve: your experience in Barcelona or a special instant you want to keep forever. In doing so, you create your own time capsule and a tangible memory of this day.

A Silent, Poetic Intervention Inside the Suite 701
Here, you sleep within Eter, Mariona Espinet’s art collection—a series of pieces where imperfect shapes, repeated lines, and quiet voids create a gentle rhythm that invites you to pause.
As part of the stay, you will encounter a crafted notebook specially created by the artist. This interactive object invites each visitor to leave a personal mark—through a sentence, a drawing, a memory, or a feeling.
The notebook includes thought-provoking questions and visual prompts designed by Mariona Espinet, encouraging slow reflection and emotional expression. Over time, it becomes a living artwork—growing with each new voice, each silent moment shared.
An intimate, contemplative experience that transforms the suite into a space not just to stay, but to inhabit.
