It’s no surprise that researchers have found that dance therapy can improve cognitive function, emotional well-being, and behavior, making it a valuable tool in psychological treatment. Dance improves how we feel because of various mechanisms and pathways in the human body, even altering the brain's makeup.
Experience the mind-body benefits along with the cathartic nature of performance—a delicate balance between the private and public self. The Benefits of Dance Therapy:
• Help you explore and understand the connection between movement and your emotions
• Encourage awareness of bodily sensations and breath
• Guide you through self-expressive and improvisational movements
• Offer specific movement or verbal therapeutic interventions to promote healing
• Help you process the feelings evoked by movement
