We are looking for a General Manager to introduce Vienna’s most anticipated luxury hotel to the market with new concepts, clearly setting it apart from Vienna’s existing hotels

The Hotel        

Almanac Vienna, housed in two historicistic Palais’, both dating back to the 1800’s, combines historic elegance with ultra-luxury, contemporary design, setting itself  clearly apart from Vienna’s existing hotel portfolio. The property will feature 80 suites and 31 rooms, 12 world-class residences, a restaurant, coffee shop, bar and spa with indoor pool.

Your Job          

General Manager - The General Manager (GM) reports to the Operations Manager of WSF Group. The GM is responsible for the development and execution of the hotel’s  overall strategy.

Developing and devising strategies to ensure operational and financial success of the hotel

Managing a wide range of stakeholders with sometimes conflicting short-term interests to preserve the long term success of Almanac Vienna

Leading and developing a team of seasoned professionals to ensure a collaboratively lead operation whilst ensuring it remains agile, relevant and resilient

Taking an active role in sales & marketing activities of the hotel

Setting up systems, procedures and structures ensuring maximum efficiency, accountability, transparency and open communication throughout the hotel

What makes you a match?

Minimum 5 years’ experience as Hotel- or General Manager in a luxury hotel

Experience in managing hotel openings

Calm and strategic under pressure – establishing new brand in the market

Pro-active and able to handle multiple objectives during fluctuating priorities, with a solution-oriented implementer and problem-solving approach

Inclusive decision maker, good listener, clear communicator and influencer – someone who can bring the team along with them for maximum follow through

English written and spoken to a very good degree is essential, German written and spoken highly advantageous
