Position

Barista (on-call)

Location

Prague

Experience

1-2 Years

Starting Date

August 2026

Salary

CZK 150 - 180, based on experience

At ELIAS Coffee Shop, coffee is more than a drink — it is part of the guest experience. As our Barista, you will be the face of the café, creating moments that feel warm and personal. You will report to Kseniia, our Café Manager, and work closely with our Chefs, Baristas and Waiters to deliver service that reflects the Almanac spirit: authentic, thoughtful and connected.
Hot water is being poured from a gooseneck kettle over ground coffee in a filter, using a pour-over coffee maker on a terrazzo countertop—a perfect start before exploring the city with Signature Tours.

What we trust you with

You will bring energy, craft and care to every part of the café experience — from the first espresso of the morning to the last guest interaction of the day.

You will prepare and serve coffee and beverages to a consistently high standard, ensuring that every cup reflects both skill and attention to detail.

You will take ownership of coffee quality, from grinder set-up and brewing methods to presentation, taste and guest feedback.

You will keep strong product knowledge across ingredients, equipment, suppliers, trends and the wider coffee culture, using this insight to make thoughtful recommendations and suggest improvements when needed.

You will also make sure that the café area is prepared, clean and ready for every service period.

You will work in line with all applicable hygiene, food & beverage safety and brand standards, while bringing your own personality to the guest experience.

Whenever possible, you will look for natural ways to engage with guests and make their visit feel personal.

Working in flexible shifts that copy the opening times of the coffee shop.

What makes you a match

You have at least 1 year of experience as a Barista in a specialty café and a genuine passion for the craft of coffee.

You are confident with alternative brewing methods, espresso preparation and grinder set-up, and you know how to adjust your technique to keep quality consistent.

You have experience with cupping and at least an intermediate level of latte art, including shapes such as heart, tulip or rosetta.

You enjoy working with guests and colleagues, communicate naturally in English or Czech, and bring a calm, positive and professional attitude to busy service moments.

You care about detail, consistency and creativity.

You understand that great service is not only about technical skill, but also about warmth, timing and making people feel welcome.
