During October, Almanac X Alcron Prague will transform into one of the most vibrant venues of the 28th edition of Designblok, the largest design and fashion festival in Central Europe.
This year’s theme, Light, will illuminate our spaces as well. As an official hotel partner, we look forward to welcoming local and international designers, VIP guests, judges, journalists, and the general public.
Expect exceptional installations by leading Czech creators that explore the interplay of light and space. Our hotel will become a living cultural stage where you can experience design firsthand, complemented by our curated side program that lets you discover contemporary art right within the hotel’s authentic atmosphere.
As part of this year’s participation, we will present exclusive creative installations. Czech glassmaker Linda Procházka and visual artist Zuzu Gálová have created a unique collaborative project titled Kissed by Summer. Their joint collection blends two distinct female visual worlds into a personal memory of summer. Zuzu, who lives in Australia, draws from the vibrant atmosphere of Bondi Beach and her daily connection to the ocean, sun, and color, while Linda translates these motifs into hand-crafted, hot-blown Czech glass. In addition, the iconic Alcron Bar will come alive with a curated collection of art pieces titled Awkwards at Alcron Bar by studio Qubus & Jakub Berdych Karpelis.
